What is Time-Alignment?

Addictech Sound Systems use a special breed of sub cabinets with no ports. This means there is no resonant frequency produced from the cabinet. Our sealed subs combined with Time-Alignment allow us to push bass tones as pure as the day they came from their composers hands. Bass just can't get any tighter or lower. Time-alignment also helps our highs arrive in the same perfect moment in time. Because our hardware crosses over the subs and highs while dealing with the Time-Alignment, we can provide full spectrum precision. The entire system from crossover, Time-Alignment, and subs sustain clarity down to 8 hertz with +/- 3 db.

Time-Alignment assures that the fundamental and overtones of a complex, transient, acoustical signal are presented to the listener in the same relationship as the electrical signal at the input terminals of the loudspeaker. This is demonstrated graphically in the scope pictures of the sound of a hand clap.

The conventional loudspeaker spreads out the sound in time: when a rapid series of transients occur the results are blurring and lost detail. With Time Align, the sound of the hand clap is presented as a tight package of energy, with the same time relationship as the natural sound. This means that a rapid series of transients will be heard clearly.
